The day of the dead
Hey there, I just wanted to share a couple of videos with you – on this most amazing ‘day of the dead’ festival in mexico.
You may recall it from the opening scenes of ‘Spectre’ the James Bond Film – if you follow that genre 😉
But did you know that this festival also contributes greatly to the happiness and well being of the Mexican people?
Well, that’s the conclusion of Oliver Burkeman, who studied this (and many other cultural wonders all over the world) for his quite brilliant book, ‘The Antidote’
Focusing on what really matters
Perhaps by simply dedicating one day a year to focus our thoughts on our lost loved ones and . . .
. . . remembering that we too are mortal – we start to work out ‘what really matters’ in our lives.
And when we realise that, perhaps we’re motivated to achieve more for ourselves and those we care about today.
It’s just a thought 🙂
What do you think?
Paul
